Italian handcrafted shoes

SHOE CARE

The passion for a pair of shoes cannot stop with
the purchase.

The italian style true lover can be recognized not only by how he chooses shoes, but by the care he takes to preserve their beauty. The care of the handcrafted models passes from the use of the best products on the market, such as creams and polishes, to the putting into practice of personal secrets. Taking care of your footwear requires dedication and perseverance but essentially consists in following a series of simple but effective precautions.

SHOE CARE

THE SHOE TREE

The shoe tree allows the shoe to maintain its initial axis and to avoid creases on the upper. It is indispensable in order not to lose the original shape of the shoe. Our team recommends the use of cedar shoe trees, avoiding the varnished ones that do not allow the wood to breathe and allow moisture to stagnate inside the shoe.

SHOE CARE

THE GLOSS

The real quality polish is made of beeswax. Its function is to soften, waterproof and make the leather shine. It can also be used every day.

SHOE CARE

THE CREAM

The cream should not be confused with the polish since it has a totally different function and acts as a cleaning product. It also contains pigments richer in dyes than the polish. Its components are: lanolin (emulsion of water and milk) and turpentine. The cream enhances the color of the shoe, so it should be used occasionally when it becomes opaque, with a frequency of about every three weeks.

SHOE CARE

The reviver

The reviver is a product similar to the cream but also contains mink oil. It can be applied on rustic shoes to make the leather absorb more of the cream's grease. For suede shoes we recommend using a specific reviver.

SHOE CARE

How to dry the soles

The best way to dry the soles is to place them on the side, allowing them to breathe. Wet shoes should never be exposed to unnatural heat sources. Change your shoes every day so that the shoes can dry well. If the shoes are not given time to dry, the leather becomes soft, doesn't resist to abrasion and loses its tightness.
