Franceschetti, shoe master artisans since 1920s, in partnership with Fondazione Mazzoleni Onlus, presents at Pitti Uomo 93 the capsule collection “Steps in the art”: 5 shoe models with artistic soles where paintings are reproduced by hand under the leather outsole of the shoe, thanks to a craft technique quite similar to tattoo. Fondazione Mazzoleni operates in the art promotion and is very sensible to new emerging talents.
The presentation of the FW17-18 collections at Pitti Uomo 93
Pitti Uomo 93 will start tomorrow. Cinema is coming at Pitti Uomo this January. At this edition the fair will be transformed into a Film Festival where the styles of the various venues will be interpreted as different genres: thrillers, adventure, action and sport movies, spy stories. Pavilions will become movie theaters where one can enjoy the entertainment. The main forecourt of the Fortezza da Basso will evoke a movie theatres district with billboards announcing the scheduled blockbusters, cult and indie movies. Creative direction by lifestyler Sergio Colantuoni.
At Pitti Uomo 93 Franceschetti & Mazzoleni Onlus Foundation for a joint artistic project
Franceschetti, in partnership with Fondazione Mazzoleni Onlus, which operates in the field of art and has always paid great attention to new emerging talent, presents at Pitti Immagine Uomo the capsule collection “Steps in the art”: five shoe models in which the art work is impressed with accurate fidelity on the leather of the sole, thanks to a craft technique quite similar to the tattoo.
A new expressive form arises from the encounter between a work of art and a product of excellence: in the journey the sole progressively wears out and so the work impressed on it is destined to change, until it disappears. Nothing is forever. The footwear symbolically appropriates the language of art and thus becomes a unique and unrepeatable performance.
Suitable also for the “tailor-made”, in order to offer a unique and customizable product, the collection presents colors of the leather combined with each paint, so as to produce a unique harmonious aesthetic set. The capsule models belong to the Patina Deluxe line, already available for sale in the Made to order section of the online store. This is the company’s top product line, with handcrafted shoes which are painted and manually polished, with dedication, care and a lot of passion.
The collection “Steps in the art” reproduces the paintings of: Sabrina Golin – Mirella Scotton – Irma Servodio – Francesca Sirianni – Francesco Verdi
Wednesday, January 10 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm there will be an aperitif for the presentation of the capsule, scheduled for the Pitti calendar. At Pitti Uomo 93 Franceschetti exhibits at the Central Pavilion – Ground Floor – Stand J10.
